Tohoku: “Recovery in Action” will be a feature documentary about the resilience of the communities affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 which caused a tsunami that decimated many coastal towns in northern Japan.
The project was successfully funded and the documentary team of Robbie and James are planning to visit Tohoku during September 2021 and interview the local population and see how these communities have slowly recovered over the past 10 years.
The funds for this documentary were raised from crowdfunding. Bluecompass also contributed funding to help make this documentary possible.

 

このドキュメンタリー制作は、イギリス人のロビーさんとジェームズさんによって企画されました。

『Tohoku：Recovery in Action』と題し、2011年の東日本大震災での津波被害を受けた方々の復興、そして10年目を迎え行われた地域コミュニティのイベントを特集し、世界へ配信するものです。

ロビーさん・ジェームズさんの伝えたい想いと、震災で被害を受けた方々の風化させたくない想いが、つながったのです。日本の方々だけでなく、世界の方々が東日本大震災からの復興を願い、自分たちができる事をやろうと活動してくれているのです。とても心強く感じます。ブルーコンパスとしてもサポートしたいと考えました。

 

この活動に必要な資金はクラウドファンディングで集められました。ブルーコンパスも彼らの熱意に賛同し、寄付しております。その後、この資金調達は無事達成されました。
